RFID technology has been combined with our heavy-duty tire labels to make an RFID label for tires that is resistant to oils, solvents, as well as exposure to a wide range of temperatures and all-weather conditions. RFID TireSTUCK™ labels have a highly aggressive adhesive intended for rubber surfaces and tires that will firmly adhere to the sidewall of a variety of tires (vehicle, motorcycle, tractors, and more) and other rubber, waxy, and hard-to-stick surfaces. These tire labels are suited for seasonal or long-term indoor and outdoor storage, even on dirty/used tires (will not blacken upon long-term exposure to dirt and rubber residues). They can be integrated with tracking and inventory management systems to improve logistics control from the distributor to the end-user.

When printed with our recommended XAR-class of ink ribbons, the visual and electronic components of these RFID tire labels will resist various chemicals found in garages, repair shops, and car dealerships, including oils, grease, thinners, gasoline, and solvents. These UHF RFID labels (Class 1, Gen 2) can be printed and encoded with up to 32 hexadecimal characters of information using dedicated RFID thermal-transfer printers. Their printout can consist of alphanumeric text, 1D and 2D barcodes, as well as serialized RFID or printed data.

Place the UHF RFID reader at a maximum of 12″ (30.5 cm) away from the sample in any direction. However, the read range can vary according to the UHF RFID reader being used and where the RFID label is applied on the tire. We recommend to apply it on the tire sidewall to be away from the steel belts for reaching the better RFID label performance. Prior testing is strongly recommended.
